Please join the American Indian Culture and Research Journal for a live event celebrating the publication of Issue 46, No. 1: “The Work, Art, and Activism of Huanani-Kay Trask.” We are honored to have special guests, Candace Fujikane, Mahina Kaomea, Ha’åni Lucia Falo San Nicolas, Luhui Whitebear, Kēhaulani Vaughn, and the co-editors ku’ualoha ho’omanawanui and Noelani Goodyear-Ka’ōpua. This issue marks the first open access issue of the journal and the first issue under our new editorial leadership. Our first issue after a year of re-organizing rightfully invites us to consider the legacy of Indigenous sovereignty, so beautifully and powerfully embodied in the life of Dr. Trask.
