 Zama Dube is a South African voice and sound artist currently pursuing a PhD in cinema and media studies at UCLA.

Drawing on her experience in the South African broadcast industry, Zama’s current research examines practices of visual dissent by Black women and queer cultural producers in the African diaspora. Interweaving audio and visual worlds, Zama pulls from diverse visual mediums in order to conjure up sonic landscapes inspired primarily by Amapiano and Deep House music.
