Kronos Quartet - Five Decades

Kronos Quartet, the renowned, ever-evolving, musically expansive string quartet, celebrates fifty years of innovation with KRONOS Five Decades, featuring David Harrington (violin), John Sherba (violin), Hank Dutt (viola) and Paul Wiancko (cello). The latest chapter in an already storied legacy, this performance is one of fifty in a series of events planned to commemorate this career milestone.

Founded by Harrington in 1973, Kronos Quartet has challenged the perception of the string quartet, commissioning more than 1,000 works and collaborating with composers and musicians from around the world. Over the years, the Quartet has built a repertoire that responds to the issues of the time and explores a broad spectrum of cultural expression.
