Moment of Reflection

Join us in UCLA’s Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden for Moment of Reflection: Acknowledging difficult years, renewing hope for the future.

Daily through Apr. 24

Free

At the event, developed in partnership with UCLA’s School of the Arts and Architecture, we’ll have a short ceremony including the unveiling of a new, immersive art installation created specifically for our community by celebrated UCLA artist and alumnus Refik Anadol.

Moment of Reflection is a multi-sensory, immersive experience that commemorates the beauty of nature and seeks to aid in our collective renewal through the power of art. This immersive installation features awe-inspiring multidimensional visuals, sounds and lights that will leave a lasting, restorative impression. The event will bring us together to collectively process some of the difficulties we’ve endured, as well as build hope and connection that will serve our community well in the future.

The event will also be live-streamed for those who cannot join us in person. Visit this page next week for the livestream link.

The installation will also be available for in person viewing from April 20 – 24. Viewing hours are from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.

UCLA acknowledges our presence on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples.
