Two scholars will speak about their recently published books in the Filipinx Studies. Speakers are Josen Diaz, author of Postcolonial Configurations: Dictatorship, the Racial Cold War, and Filipino America (Duke University Press) and Genevieve Clutario, author of Beauty Regimes: a History of Power and Modern Empire in the Philippines, 1898-1941 (Duke University Press). Diaz is Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies, University of San Diego and Clutario is Associate Professor of American Studies at Wellesley College.
