Antonio Lysy poses with his cello.

The UCLA Spikes Cello Choir presents an unforgettable night of cello music. AntonioLysy, professor of cello for twenty years at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, will perform solo and with quartet. The second half of the concert will feature a forty-strong cello choir performing works by Bach, Julius Klengel, and Claude Debussey and a Jonathan Beard arrangement of Nicholas Britell’s Succession Suite, from the hit HBO series, Succession.

This event is made possible in part by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2023 - 24 Dobrow Series.
