Durational and Multimodal: Lionel Popkin presents career retrospective ‘Reorient the Orient’

Within his multidisciplinary work, choreographer and performer Lionel Popkin often explores larger societal concepts. His career retrospective “Reorient the Orient” looks at the complicated history of interculturalism. 

The world premiere of his durational, multimodal work will take place at the Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theater (REDCAT) on Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10. The installation will be set up in the gallery and theater.
